# Export

> Formats, sizes, and where files land.

Ask your agent, or use the Studio's Export buttons.

> "Export it as a 9:16 MP4."

> "Make a GIF of it."

## Formats

| Ask for | You get |
| - | - |
| MP4 | A video the shape of your screen, the default. Ask for 16:9 to fix the shape |
| 9:16 | A portrait MP4, for phone feeds |
| GIF | An animated GIF |
| Stills | A folder of PNG images, one per step |

## Size

Exports are 60 frames a second at 2560 pixels on the long side (2560×1440
at 16:9) when the recording is that sharp, or 1080×1920 at 9:16, about 30 MB
for 30 seconds.

Videos attached to a pull request are sized for GitHub instead: 1920 pixels
on the long side, or 720×1280 at 9:16, at 30 frames a second. Ask for
sharing quality to get that size anywhere.

For the largest file, ask for full quality.

To change the default, choose Sharing, High or Full under Export in the
Studio's Settings. Your agent's exports follow it too. For one video, pick a
quality in the Studio's Export panel.

To keep a file under a size, say how big it may be.

> "Export it under 10 MB."

Demoman lowers the frame rate first, then the size, then the quality, and
says what it lowered.

## Where files land

In `~/Downloads`. Your agent tells you the path when it is done.

To save somewhere else, connect your agent with the stdio server below,
which adds `--out-dir`:

```json theme={null}
{"command": "npx", "args": ["--prefix", "~/", "-y", "demoman@latest", "mcp", "--out-dir", "<folder>"]}
```
