# Overview

> Look over a take, change it, and export it.

The Studio is a window where you look over a take, change it, and export it.
Your agent offers it after a take. Or open it yourself:

```bash theme={null}
npx demoman studio
```

Name a take to open it directly:

```bash theme={null}
npx demoman studio <take>
```

Close the Studio from the terminal:

```bash theme={null}
npx demoman studio --stop
```

Your takes, their sizes and your brand kits are listed in the Studio's
Recordings and Settings pages. When you are done editing, export from the
studio, or ask your agent to. See [Export](https://demoman.io/docs/guides/export.md).

## Videos and versions

Every take is a version of a video. Your agent names the video when it
records, and each new recording of the same flow adds a version.

The Recordings page shows one card per video, with its current version: the
newest one that finished. Open **versions** on the card to see each one, its
date and the files exported from it. A file that was moved or deleted is
marked gone. Rename a video by its name on the card. Delete on the card
deletes the whole video; Delete on a version deletes that take.

Recordings over 30 days old are removed on their own, except the current
version, any version you edited, and the one your newest export came from.
A removed version keeps its steps and says how to ask your agent to record
it again. See [Data](https://demoman.io/docs/security/data.md).
